WURD Radio

WURD runs the Community Health and Wellness Directory, where listeners find Philadelphia-area doctors who give respectful, culturally competent care. I look after WURD's sites month to month. The biggest piece so far is the page behind their special broadcast on the Medicaid changes, plus a rebuild of the directory underneath it.

What I built
The broadcast page
One page for WURD's three-hour special, Attack on the Safety Net: the full broadcast, the eight things Medicaid recipients need to know to keep their coverage, where listeners can get help, and the sponsors who made it. Turned around in days and reworked the same day WURD sent notes.
A directory that's real data
Doctors, specialties and practices are proper records now, not page-builder layouts. Search and filters by specialty and practice, and a page for every doctor.
Half the weight
Off Elementor and onto a custom theme. The directory page went from 146 KB to 73 KB, 31 stylesheets to 6, 28 scripts to 8.
Nothing broken in the move
All 133 old addresses redirect to their new pages. The switch was rehearsed on staging and every page checked before and after.
Ongoing care
Updates, backups, security, ad and content changes for both WURD sites, on a monthly plan.

How it goes
  1. 01 A call Thirty minutes, no charge. You tell me what you are dealing with.
  2. 02 A look I go through what you already have and where it actually hurts.
  3. 03 A number A fixed price and a plan, in writing, before anything starts.
  4. 04 The work I build it, launch it, and stay on the phone afterwards.

Who owns this at your company?

If you had to think about it, let's talk.
